“There is something so innate and universal about the collective storytelling and creative play in Dungeons & Dragons. There is no more unique and magical bonding experience than to tap into our pure, unfettered, childlike imaginations and explore new worlds together.”

"It all started with a love of dragons, as so many great things do."

In Warhammer lore, the Crystal Labyrinth is the mind-bending, ever-changing domain of the chaos god Tzeentch - a treacherous and infinite crystalline maze of shifting colors and structures.  Kat chose it as the namesake for her page in the hopes that in coming to see her art, much like braving the labyrinth itself, you would be drawn in and lose yourself the vibrant colors and variety of miniatures, and perhaps find it a bit difficult to leave.

An avid gamer and lore enthusiast, Kat has always been drawn to the fantasy genre. After nearly a decade of Dungeons & Dragons campaigns, and more recent forays into wargaming, it is only within the last few years she finally discovered the tremendous joy of using painted miniatures to bring her games to life.

The Crystal Labyrinth was created as a place for Kat to share her art and love of miniature painting with other like-minded nerds, but it has become so much more. In connecting with the magnificent and vibrant online communities of miniature painters, RPG gamers, and wargamers, it has truly become a celebration of the gaming and hobby lifestyles. She is always happy to connect with fellow gamers and hobbyists, and glad to share what knowledge she has gained in just a few short years of painting and crafting with anyone who asks. The Crystal Labyrinth is known in the community as a place of enduring support and positivity for hobbyists of all skill levels and all game systems. It is a place to step inside her over-active imagination, to see a large number of elaborately painted dragons (as they are her favorite), and hopefully to help inspire and encourage your own creative works!

The Crystal Labyrinth does offer custom commissions, so be sure to contact her on Instagram if you are interested in having any of your miniatures painted.
